SPINAL HEALTH WEEK 2023

Spinal Health Week (22 – 28 May 2023) is an initiative of the Australian Chiropractors Association (ACA). It is Australia’s longest-running national health awareness campaign dedicated to improving the spinal health of Australians of all ages. For more than 25 years, Spinal Health Week has been the leading national community health initiative dedicated to promoting the importance of maintaining good spinal health and wellbeing.

In 2023, the campaign’s focus is on preventing spine-related headaches to reduce the negative impact headaches have on families, workers, businesses and the national economy.

More Australians suffer from migraine or tension headaches than diabetes, epilepsy and asthma combined; causing lost social activity, concentration and productivity in the workplace that has a detrimental impact on the economy and the community as a whole.

The cost of headaches to Australia

¤   The annual economic impact of headaches in Australia exceeds $35.7 billion
