The Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport – 2026 Applications Open!!

The Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport is now accepting applications for its 2026 program.

The Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport exists to support, develop and champion women working across South Australia’s sport and active recreation sector.

What is the Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport?
The MJN Centre for Women’s Sport is a year-long leadership and professional development program designed for women who are passionate about shaping the future of sport. The program brings together a cohort of emerging and established leaders to build capability, confidence and connection across the sector.

What does the program offer?
Participants will gain access to:

  • Targeted leadership and professional development workshops
  • Mentoring and insights from experienced leaders in sport and beyond
  • Opportunities to build meaningful networks across the sector
  • Practical tools to support personal growth and career progression
  • A supportive cohort environment that encourages collaboration and shared learning

The program is open to women from all areas of sport — including administration, coaching, officiating, governance and volunteering — who are ready to invest in their development and make a positive impact.

If you, or someone in your network, are looking to grow your leadership capability and contribute to a stronger, more inclusive sporting sector, we encourage you to apply.

Applications for the 2026/2027 Program must be submitted by 12pm, 2 June 2026, with a view to commencing the program in July.
