The Australian of the year awards honour great Australians from all walks of life and is an opportunity to celebrate their outstanding achievements. Nominations for the 2022 Australian of the Year Awards are open and it’s up to the public to nominate those they admire for the titles of:

• Young Australian of the Year
• Australia’s Local Hero
