GRASSROOTS GRANTS

Grants General

GRASSROOTS GRANTS

The annual SA Arid Lands Grassroots Grants program is now open with an increased funding pool.

Now in its fifth round, the board has $150,000 available to fund projects across the region undertaken by volunteers, community groups, not-for-profit organisations and landholders. The funding is provided by your annual Landscape Levy.

Applications are welcomed for grants up to $20,000 to help sustainably manage local landscapes through on-ground works. Projects must address one or more of the board’s priority issues of climate resilience, water management, sustainable land management, protecting and enhancing biodiversity and people and partnerships.

The increased project limit is designed to promote collaboration across multiple properties or stakeholders, such as for pest and weed control. Previously, grants were limited to $10,000.

Projects will also need to demonstrate strong public benefit.

Applications will close at 4pm on Friday 3 May.
