SA CIVICS EDUCATION GRANT

The Commissioner for Children and Young People and the Parliament of South Australia are offering South Australian schools financial assistance for a student civics visit to Adelaide.

All students should have this opportunity no matter where they live. Visiting Parliament and other civic institutions helps young people to find out about South Australia’s history and democratic system so they can better understand how they can play an active part in their community.

The Commissioner for Children and Young People and the Parliament of South Australia are offering a financial grant to 20 low-SES schools that are outside of direct public transport to Adelaide’s CBD.

Any school can apply for the grant if they do not have direct public transport to the CBD and are in a low-SES or ICSEA area. All you have to do to be successful is tell us about your civics program and why your students want to visit the South Australian Parliament.
