It was a privilege to join the Port Pirie community for the 2025 NAIDOC Week Flag Raising Ceremony at City park, followed by the inaugural Port Pirie and surrounds NAIDOC Awards at the Regional Library.
This year marks 50 years of NAIDOC celebrations, and it was truly moving to see the strength, vision and legacy of our First Nations peoples honoured in such a powerful way.
Congratulations to all the award recipients and to every nominee recognised for their outstanding contribution to community.
A big thank you to the Aboriginal Health Community, Port Pirie Regional Council and all the organisations, schools, volunteers and community members who made the day so meaningful. 👏🖤💛❤️
