Clements Gap Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project:

From Saturday 11 October to Tuesday 21 October 2025, Kirchner Road will be closed to all public vehicles while the Clements Gap Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project completes the next phase of construction.

To carry out this work safely, our contractor will be lifting and installing new cabling between the project’s substation and ElectraNet’s transmission network. Works will take place during daylight hours each day of the closure (generally 7.00am – 5.00pm).

While access to neighbouring properties on Kirchner Road will be maintained via detour routes, travelling north–south on Kirchner Road will not be possible. This is because the section of road immediately outside the project area will be closed to ensure the safety of the community and our workers.

Traffic management and signage will be in place throughout the period of works. On certain dates, limited access may be possible outside daylight hours for neighbours who need to travel North–South. Please get in touch if you require this.

We recommend using Gap Road as your default route during the closure, for your vehicles, deliveries, and visitors.
