
                  I was shocked and disappointed to learn that during a planned power outage—meant to connect the new Accident & Emergency building at the Port Pirie Regional Hospital—Hammill House and several offices were left without electricity, while the hospital wards remained unaffected.
What’s more concerning is that there was no backup power for Hammill House, leaving vulnerable residents in discomfort. This is simply not good enough.
I’ve raised this issue directly with the Minister for Health and Wellbeing in Parliament, asking for an explanation and assurance that this won’t happen again.
