I’m proud to share an incredible achievement by our local martial arts community. Thanks to a grant from the State Government, Mid North I.T.F Taekwon-Do Inc was able to support Full Impact Taekwon-Do students in travelling to Melbourne for a major national championship in October.
This funding covered essential costs like flights, accommodation, and transport, making it possible for these talented athletes to compete on the big stage. And what a result! Ten students returned home with gold, silver, and bronze medals. 🥇🥈🥉
Earlier this week, head instructor and chairman Louie Dimou, and Full Impact instructor Jakob Brown, presented me with a plaque to pass on to Premier Peter Malinauskas as a heartfelt thank you for the support that made this success possible.
Grants like these make a real difference for community groups, helping families afford opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach. Seeing these students succeed is truly rewarding, and I know the Premier will be proud to receive this gesture of appreciation.
Congratulations to Louie and the entire team you’ve done Port Pirie proud!👏🥋
