I was proud to help open the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia's new community health service in WIlliam Creek.
We all know that medical emergencies can happen any time of the night or day.
I'm impressed that the clinic will use sophisticated technology to offer 24/7 telehealth services for when the clinic is not staffed.
Best of all, this remote community will no longer need to travel two hours to their nearest health service.
Thanks to the Federal Minister for Health and Aged Care, Mark Butler MP, Jan Ferguson OAM and Margaret Howard from the Outback Communities Authority, and Arabana Traditional Owners Uncle Jeffrey and Kennethi for making this official opening such a memorable event.
